Different training delivery approaches we offer

Training sessions can be held for

Site Superuser / Trainers

Operatives

Administrations

Management

Trainer Notes

Trainer notes are a step-by-step guide for all operational and admin functions within the warehouse.

The Trainer notes are a detailed document which will guide the Trainer(s) through the perfect world scenarios and all exceptions which will arise day-to-day.

Operational Trainer notes will be used by the warehouse superusers/trainers to deliver all operative training sessions.

Admin Trainer notes will be used by the implementation trainers to deliver all web based sessions for the admin and management team.

Workbooks

Workbooks are used alongside the Trainer notes to deliver all operational/admin training sessions.

The workbooks will be linked between the Trainer notes and data stage. The workbooks will show each user the data they will be required to use to complete each exercise during the session.

Knowledge Confirmation

A Knowledge Confirmation is completed after the Wave 2 sessions.

Each KC will be made up of questions from the perfect world and exceptional scenarios which will occur day to day.

Operational KC consists of up to 10 questions.

Admin KC will consist of up to 15 questions.

Each KC will have a section at the end to be scored based on what has been displayed during the training too.

The pass score will be 80% – anyone who does not reach this mark will be recommended to return for additional session(s).

Quick Reference Guides

Quick Reference Guides will be given to all operational colleagues.

Step by step guide how to successfully complete each task.

Areas covered:

Additional Training documents/resources required for a successful deployment.

Training Strategy Document:

This is a detailed strategy document which clearly states the ways of working throughout the project including the exit criteria.

The statement of work document will be signed off by all parties.

Training Demand Assessment:

Clearly states the required number of colleagues by function and shift. This is pre-determined by the business and signed off by both parties as part of the exit criteria.

This is also used to ensure that enough sessions are planned for the colleague throughout the training program.

Training Module Content

This is a check sheet to ensure that once the Business Design Document (BDD) or Functional Design Document (FDD) has been reviewed by the Training manager this shows all of the points which need to be covered in the training session.

Training Matrix

This is in preparation for the training delivery and will be used to monitor the attendance and pass rates during all sessions.

Training Rota

The Training manger will create a training rota which will display all Operational and Admin sessions for the entirety of the training period.

This will also display the data set the trainers must use for the session ensuring that the correct exercises are completed.

The Training manger will work with an onsite Ops Lead, to populate the training rota with the colleagues to ensure holidays and core roles are covered.

The Ops Lead will be responsible for the day-to-day management of the rota. It will be their responsibility to ensure everyone turns to the session on time.

A training schedule will be printed in an open area for all colleagues to view and an individual rota will be produced for all operatives/admin and managers.

This acts as part of the Exit Criteria and is the basis of the Training Rota.

Data Staging

We will create data within a training environment to complete all operatives/admin training sessions. Data will be created for perfect world scenarios and all exceptions.

The Training Manager will need to stage the data at various stages of the operations flow.

Once the data is staged and been signed off, we will need to apply a save of the data file to be refreshed daily. This Save and Refresh will need to be provided to us via the Dev team.

Creating the Training Simulation area

This will be used to deliver all Operational Training sessions. Golden flow and troubleshooting scenarios will be set up to ensure all colleagues are able to deal with issues in the real world.

The WSE will be set up using realistic stock profiles from the operation (discontinued stock if possible).

Alternatively, we would create paper SKUs which will have all the relevant details of the product.

Deliver the Training

The training delivery will vary to the package chosen but The Training will always be delivered in 2 Waves this way the colleague has a chance to practice what they have learnt on all functions we will be training out. This will be recorded in the training matrix and reported back to the management for full transparency.

The training will be delivered in sections of the warehouse which is closed off for the training. One section which has racking and built to a simulate the warehouse for practical Operational learning and the other a classroom based for the admin training which will be Web based.

Report on the Training

There are 2 different reports which will be sent out to the Project Team by TSI-Logistics, these are a Daily Report and an Exit Report.

The Daily Report will be sent to the Project Team and the Senior On-Site Team and this report will consist of:
